Gymnastics

Zeb and I are in a Moms Club where we go out and do something at least once a week. We go to the park or another members home, or whereever. We really try to shake it up a bit and do different things. This week we went to a gymnastics class where for an hour the kids could do all differents kinds of things they are told not to at home. Zeb loved it!Here is when the class first started. The kids were told to line up against the wall. They are being told what is going to happen next. They were told to climb the wall with their feet. The kids that have gotten really high are 4 and 5 years old. So for 2 1/2 Zeb did really well! Here he is swinging on the rings. He liked this too. The little girl behind him gave him a swing.

However, like all small children the trampoline was a HUGE hit. HE loves jumbing on the bed so this was great!
So to end our day we went across the street to Burger King with the rest of our friends for lunch. Zeb missed jumbing up on the first step of the play ground area and got a horrible black eye. This picture was about 20 minutes after it happened. It looks a lot worse today. However, what doesn't kill 'em makes 'em stronger so Zeb is going to be a really strong guy some day!

Zeb at the KSU airport. He got to go see the "hairplanes" at the "hairport." Also, this is his preferred way to where his hats.

Zeb at the Akron Zoo. He is riding "Copper". Now every horse is named Copper.
Zeb at Rodgers Flea Market riding Petey.
I can't figure out how to delete this one.... Sorry

Long time no blog!

Hello, sorry it has been so long since I have updated this page. Here's a quick synopsis of what has been going on with us. In case you have not heard, Bryan has been excepted to law school at the University of Akron. He is going as a part-time student in the evening class and is persuing a duel degree in law and business. What an over-acheiver! He is still going to work as Zeb still enjoys eating and shelter. He is also working pretty hard on a grant for PARTA that could lead them to be industry leaders... As far as details on that you'll really need to talk to him. I have completed my frist year of nursing school at Youngstown State University! I earned a 3.78 GPA for the semster and now have a 3.73 cumulative GPA! I am very pleased with this considering my GPA the first time around. It really does make a difference to be mature enough to know what it is you want to do then not to be distracted enough to not accomplish it. Finally, I saved the best for last! Zeb is doing great! he is getting so big. He is talking up a storm! It is so true that kids say the darndest things. A favorite saying is "What are you doing here Mom?" or "Play Bob Mom?" which is Who are the People in Your Neighborhood? from Sesame Street. Everything over all is going well. I will post some pictures for your enjoyment and hopefully I will have more updates.

Trip to the Emergency room

Today we made our second trip to the ER. The first one he was pretty sick and vomiting. However, this trip was for stitches. Zeb was playing in our bathroom sink when the step stool slipped out from under him and he hit his chin on the sink. Luckily the sink is ok ;-). Zeb on the other hand ended up getting four stitches in the bottom of his chin. The doctor said that they had never had a child fight as hard as he did. If fact he fought so hard that at the end of the procedure he started to fall asleep. This is how you can tell that he has Fink genes in him, stitches before the age of three. Some famous words from the experience are "Momma ouch ouch." He was able to compose himself enough to tell me that. the remaining time, however, was just screams. He is "all better" now though. What a big brave boy was.

Christmas Program

Well last Friday we went to a Christmas program that Zeb's daycare put on. I had spoken to the director before had who said that their daycare was the last "daycare", other preschools still do it, to do a Christmas program. It was cute keeping in mind that the kids are no older than 5. For Zeb's group they sang two songs Santa, to the tune of bingo, and another, not that you could hear either. Then the 3-5 year olds came on and they sang Jingle Bells as a big group. The best way to describe the event though would be "hearding cats" as stated by Papa Smith. However, it was Zeb theatrical debut and we have it on tape so his prom date is in for a treat. Hearding Cats...

What's in a name...

We were warned about naming our beautiful son Zebediah. We were told wow what a mouthful, how will he ever learn to spell it, and what if he doesn't like it. Well when naming our pride and joy we decided to give him a middle name he could use if he decided that he didn't like his name. Zebediah Timothy, yes it is a mouthful but I couldn't imagine him named anything else. Until this week that is... When asked who are you or what's your name here are his answers.

Name
Bub
Bubba

and drum roll please....

Bobby!!!

Bobby is the name that he most answers when asked the question. So much for the name Zebediah Timothy just call him Bobby.

Potty training...

I just thought I would let you in on a momentous occassion here in Ravenna. This evening we went to dinner with Tim and Jane, Mom and Dad, Nee Nee and Papa. Upon our return home we got our son naked for the evening bath. He ran upstairs and was on his potty saying poo poo. Looking at the floor we realized that he had peed on the potty but because of the type of potty we have there is no "cup" in the front for little boy collection. Thus, due to his "plumbing" it ended up on the floor. This is the first time that he has pottied all on his own. I'm guessing it will be a while longer too until it happens again! Once we were done praising him, singing and dancing, Zeb closed the bathroom door with me inside and peed on the hallway carpet. (There was no dancing or singing for that time). Kids...

Family day

What a handsome family!
We went to visit Grandma today and took a family photo. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Zeb was getting pretty wound up by the end. So Papa's phone did the trick to hold him off for the 30 seconds it took to take the picture.Zeb is all ready for trick or treat. He was really excited to wear Elmo! Bryan is sitting in the back of the jeep passing out candy. He pulled the car to end end of the drive so the kids wouldn't have to come all the way up into the yard. This is a neighborhood phenominone we found out after moving into the neighborhood. Turns out everyone in our cul de sac does this. I guess we are the express circle.

Zeb's Halloween

Well it is Halloween once again. I think after this evening (Ravenna's Trick or Treat) we will be all Halloweened out! Zeb went as Elmo!!! (his hero). He was also a cowboy when we went to the nursing home trick or treating for GG (Great-Grandma Smith). He really gets into this putting out the bucket thing and people put goodies in it. Go figure...
There is a horse that sings on the other end of the yellow stick.
GG, Zeb and Papa. Three out of the four Smith generations. Also you can see Zeb with booty trying to get Papa to "please some".

You can sorta of see the horses head in this one. It is amazing how difficult it is to have a two year old stand still and smile for a picture.
